Mobile App Developer / Tech Co-Founder (m/f/d) – CatchD

CatchD is a privacy-first, gamified event memory app for Gen Z and Millennials (18–35). Friends create private "event bubbles," compete in photo challenges, vote on the best moments, and automatically receive a highlight reel—all end-to-end encrypted and GDPR-compliant. We are two founders from FH Wiener Neustadt currently in a pre-incubator program, building our MVP and preparing for public launch.

The Role

You'll be our first technical team member, responsible for building and launching the CatchD MVP. This is a hands-on role with direct influence over product and architecture decisions—with potential to grow into a Technical Co-Founder / CTO position.

What You'll Work On

  • Cross-platform mobile app (iOS & Android)

  • Backend infrastructure (Node.js, REST APIs, WebSocket for real-time features)

  • Cloud setup and management

  • End-to-end encryption and GDPR-compliant data handling

  • Core features: event bubbles, photo challenges, voting, party games, leaderboards

  • Payment integration

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

  • Fast and technical learner

  • Experience or knowledge in:

  • Mobile app development

  • Backend development

  • Database experience

Nice-to-Have:

  • Cloud platform experience

  • Git and collaborative development workflows

  • End-to-end encryption or security-focused development
