SARA

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement nº 959871.

SARA stands for SmARt villages as new place for femAle entrepreneurship and is a project in the H2020 funding line INNOSUP (Innovation Support). The project partners from Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Austria are developing concepts to better support female entrepreneurs.

The overall objective of SARA is to enable the participating innovation agencies to exchange knowledge, know-how and good practices to create new tools for developing business ideas in an “unusual” place of entrepreneurship. The target are esp. rural areas, e.g. small villages with high-growth potential, and customized support services for women entrepreneurs. The project enables the four partners to foster better approaches for increasing their female customers’ satisfaction in an enhanced work-balance condition.

Overall, SARA aims at improving the support provided to innovation processes for women entrepreneurship by testing and developing a model of innovation ecosystem based on smart villages innovation services. The accent incubator acts as one of four project partners.
