We support Cleantech startups in Lower Austria – from project to company. Cleantech – or Greentech – encompasses technologies, products and services that aim to use resources more efficiently, drive industrial decarbonisation and promote sustainable economic activity.

The founding of a clean-tech startup focuses on a technological innovation with a high ecological and social impact – at the same time, scaling and legal framework conditions pose considerable challenges. Onboarding pilot customers, finding investors, protecting intellectual property and establishing the right partnerships – a variety of parallel topics that challenge the founding team and therefore require a lot of attention.
Cleantech solutions are often based on complex technologies with long development times and thus represent an essential part of Deeptech innovation. Developing a prototype early and collaborating with pilot customers can ensure a decisive advantage for the later scalability of a product.
The increasingly urgent global challenges of climate change make the search for holistic solutions increasingly important. However, cost pressure and international competition are making it difficult for innovative Cleantech concepts to enter the market. It is therefore becoming increasingly important for founders to demonstrate and measurably prove the effectiveness of their products.
accent is the technology incubator of the province of Lower Austria. In addition to its competence and many years of experience, the accent team also brings a high degree of commitment and passion for accompanying the founding team on their way to becoming the next business champion.
Selected experts will provide input on various startup-related topics such as marketing and sales, corporate law, financial planning, storytelling, trade law and the commercial register or dealing with financial investors.
Annual highlights include the accent Cross-Innovation Summit and the accent Boot Camp with Gigi Wang (University of Berkeley), during which a week is spent working on one's own business model, strategy, storytelling and presentation.
